Why I Am a Pacifist

Why I am a Pacifist

(In no particular order.)

“Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.”
— Chief Seattle

"Return your sword to its place, for all who will take up the sword, will die by the sword."
— Matthew 26:32

"Do to others what you want them to do to you. This is the meaning of the law of Moses and the teaching of the prophets."
— Matthew 7:12

"You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against your kinsfolk. Love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD."
— Leviticus 19:18

"What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow: this is the whole Torah; the rest is the explanation; go and learn."
—  Shabbath folio:31a, Babylonian Talmud

"We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if  he saved the life of the whole people."
— Qur’an 5:32

"We shall strive not to cause harm of any kind.
We will live in and be a servant to all that is good..."
— Commands of the Seven Buddhas

"We will be reverential and mindful with all life; We will not kill or be ruled by violence."
— The Ten Precepts [Buddhism (Chobo-Ji Version)]

"There is the case where a certain person, abandoning the taking of life, abstains from the taking of life. He dwells with his rod laid down, his knife laid down, scrupulous, merciful, compassionate for the welfare of all living beings. Abandoning the taking of what is not given, he abstains from taking what is not given. He does not take, in the manner of a thief, things in a village or a wilderness that belong to others and have not been given by them." — the Pāli Canon (Buddhism)

"The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy, instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it. Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder hate. In fact, violence merely increases hate. Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
— Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages."
— Thomas A. Edison

Just for the record, I am a pacifist and have absolutely no desire to fight against any system of authority, nor to hurt anyone, ever, for any reason. Other people must live and play out their own karma. I am also done generating negative karma for myself by trying to help people with information who clearly don't want to be helped. (I have removed most of the material I have been posting, out of fear of being "flagged" or eventually targeted as an enemy of the state, even though my desire has never been other than to promote peace, stability, and justice, and 'We the People' upholding the Constitution and principles of the Declaration of Independence. As a soldier and law enforcement officer, I swore a solemn oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution, against all enemies, foreign and domestic, not realizing I was unknowingly an accomplice to those engaged in an agenda with the "side-effect" of egregiously undermining  the ratified Amendments to the Constitution and the principles of the Declaration of Independence).

On the Nature of Conscious-Awareness

Consciousness is aware of itself by degrees of coherent self-integration, or lack thereof, within local/relative frames of reference ("personal" perspectives). "Awareness" is the non-dualistic concept describing the fundamental "fabric" of spatiotemporal causality relations (i.e. quantum entanglement field, "Universal Spirit", "Source", "Collective Unconscious", etc.), whereas "consciousness" is a dualistic (relativistic) concept describing the degree to which information (energy) is "locally" integrated/entangled (self-perceiving).

Now, tie in the Standing-Wave Theory of Matter, which understands "particles" to be nothing more than the dynamic centers of standing-waves (a simultaneous inward and outward propagation of information/energy waves). As inward flowing information converges at a focal point all component quanta become quantumly entangled with one another (all information quanta are integrated/synchronized/mutually-aware at that relative position in space-time) and pass on through as an outward propagating flow of information. A self-aware being "exists" (from its own point of view) only at the infinitesimally small convergence point of information flow in space-time.

From the perspective of a self-aware "mind" with the conceptual notion of past & future, the "past" is the outward information that has already passed through the focal center of its awareness (the infinitesimal slice of space-time called "now") and the "future" is the inward propagating flow of information that hasn't yet converged at this "center of gravity" of awareness. We hazily remember bits and pieces of the "past" because elements of our present-moment brain are still quantumly entangled with elements of our past-moment brain that had encoded the environmental information processed at the time of perception.  Memory is holographic, because the brain makes deliberate use of quantum entanglement to store and recall past brain-states.  The future cannot be perceived because entanglement with that future information-state "has yet to occur".

One significant issue inherent to the nature of biological quantum memory is that the quantum entanglements forming the memory are with past brain states and not with the actual past environmental objects that were experienced, the memory encoded is of a brain-state of perceptions already skewed in their construction by physical, emotional, and cognitive biases.  Such memory is constructive in that the brain naturally attempts to fill in the missing gaps.  (Hence why witness testimony is 'notoriously unreliable'.)  A second significant issue inherent to biological quantum memory is that it is subject to quantum decoherence simply due to the fluctuating operating environment of the brain's "wetwear".  Whether due to a brain injury, a brain disease, or the simple entropy induced by the passage of time, our biological memories are subject to fading away, becoming "fuzzier," and being 'reconstructed' (modified) as gaps in the memories form.

This overall conceptual framework ties into the concept of an infinite multi-verse in the sense that there are an infinite number of points/positions in space-time in which information converges from an infinite number of directions, and therefore an infinite number of foci of self-awareness exist experiencing a uniquely different version of the "universe". Each foci of awareness can only perceive a particular universe that is self-consistent with itself. Coherent/fully-integrated awareness can only exist at the infinitesimal cross-section of space-time that a particular awareness understands as "here & now". In other words, there are infinite number of 'transpersonal layers' (space-time layers) of consciousness that are self-aware. (All of this agrees remarkably well with Buddhist metaphysics as well.)

We Are Free of We Think We Are Free

We have free will by virtue of the quantum indeterminacy (via "Heisenberg uncertainty principle") that reigns at the molecular scale of the microtubules in our neurons. The microtubules are essentially quantum computers, that are semi-synchronized to process in parallel with one another through an electromagnetic (quantum entanglement) field. That field, which is a web of countless quantum entanglements, is "consciousness" itself. The significance to the free will debate is that quantum nonlocality, tied to this understanding of non-binary quantum processing within individual neurons, affirms that the "consciousness" (the "observer") self-selects a particular version of an unfolding universe out of a sub-infinite number of many possibilities (as limited by external conditions). Ultimately, "particles" are nothing more than the mutually-dependent ("entangled") centers of standing waves in the Higgs Field. Why Compassionate Understanding is the Only Sensible Approach

A human mind is like a seed, from the time of conception. If you plant that seed of consciousness in harsh soil, the seed will either shrivel up and expire, manage to sprout but remain meager and wounded from constant attack from predators, or will manage to grow quite strongly but be riddled with thorns to repel and injure anything that tries to touch it. With a soil ripe with the conditions for fear, such is the outcome for a human mind. But suppose that seed is settled into fertile soil, it will surely grow and blossom despite the occasional deluge of a rain storm. With a soil ripe with the conditions of love, the human mind is invigorated with enough purpose and meaning to grow into something that will benefit other life, like bloomed flowers that benefit bees and other creatures (despite an occasional deluge of pain and difficulty).

What one should recognize is that this is not just a simple analogy. The same fundamental essence (some call "life-force," some call "Mu," some call "spirit," etc.) is behind the growth of a human mind as is behind the growth of a plant. This basic and singular essence of existence is consciousness-waveform-energy. The more coherent that energy-matrix is, the more influence it exercises over how energy flows within its surrounding environment.

So, a human being has significant influence to apply to their environment and, given the intention (choice) to, can provide a flower in their yard with just the right conditions for energy flow (in the forms of sunlight, water, nutrients) that result in it achieving its maximum blossoming potential. Likewise, if a human mind is provided the light of love, the water of freedom, and the nutrients of knowledge and wisdom, they will become the next Einstein, the next Buddha, the next Martin Luther King Jr., the next Gandhi, the next Steve Jobs, or the next Mother Teresa.

This is why it is senseless and unproductive to punish a person's future self for the behavior of the past. Their behavior was overwhelmingly influenced by the conditions that were prevailing at the time of the behavior – proximate causes such as poverty, isolation, neglect, abuse, addiction, mental illness, and miseducation. However, given the necessary social and environmental conditions are then provided that person, they will surely thrive and blossom as the best human being they can be.

Stigma Free

Today, let us face the epidemic of mental illness together, with some clarity.  In countless ways, some subtle, some not so, our society actively engages in the dehumanization of people who do not operate within a “normal” (i.e. socially convenient) range of behavior.  While we’ve increasingly buried our heads in our phones and TV screens over the past couple decades, our country has slowly gone to hell around us — primarily because we have neglected to attend to one another’s suffering and isolation.  Worse than that, we’ve managed to allow the development of a for-profit trade in the mass-incarceration of human beings, a majority of whom have an untreated medical condition (addictions, mental illnesses, and neurological impairments), at the hands of a morally-bankrupt “justice” system that denies all but a few “due process” and “equal protection of the law,” much less genuine avenues for tangible rehabilitative support.

We’ve allowed the justice system to ensnare hundreds of thousands of mentally ill people, whom have not had a genuine capacity to advocate for themselves or press their incompetent public defenders to do a better job.  In an era of the “rocket docket” assembly line of defendants being processed like cattle and public defenders literally only having a few minutes to review each case, we cannot afford to ignore the festering problem of inadequate "behavioral health” care for the tens of millions of people who are one “bad day” away from being trapped within the blackhole of the prison-industrial complex.  Put bluntly, we cannot ignore, any longer, the fact that our jails and prisons have become convenient (money-making) garbage piles for “unproductive citizens.”  Yet, every one of us knows someone actively suffering from a mental malady, someone we care about — whether suffering on the surface, or in silence, they are all around us.  So how do we begin to solve the problem?

We begin by facing reality as a culture, admitting to ourselves that when a person suffers from a serious mental illness or impairment, the impact that that has on their behavior is inherently beyond their ability to self-regulate.  We begin by recognizing people’s behavior is constrained and distorted by environmental conditions (such as poverty, abuse, and neglect) and brain neurobiology (also beyond their control).  We begin by appreciating the fact that we are, as a society, directly responsible for all the social conditions currently prevailing to permit the psychological abuse and neglect of millions of children and vulnerable adults, and directly responsible all the more for the furtherance of those injuries through a cultural stigmatization of the people who suffer the effects of that abuse and neglect.  The onus for change rests with the society, not those abused and abandoned by it.  The lens through which we’ve been perceiving the problem has been the fundamental condition providing for the problem's perpetuation and growth.  Thus, we most readily begin, truly, by dissolving the chains of stigma imposed on ourselves and our bruised and broken brothers and sisters.

In order to effect this, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) started the #StigmaFree campaign to foster greater understanding and compassion in our approach to the largely ignored problem of mental illness and addiction in this country.  I encourage you to take the pledge.  I also strongly encourage you to consider helping support NAMI [www.nami.org], especially since they are actively engaged in such work as the Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) [http://www.nami.org/cit] for law enforcement (emphasizing de-escalation of situations involving a person suffering from a mental health problem).  Direct participation of community members in their local NAMI and CIT programs is sorely needed, but please at least spread the word.

It’s never too late to make a difference, to save future lives through the noble teachings and compassion of today.

How Do Beliefs Close Our Minds?

How adaptable are we really, when operating without the daily support and insight of others to serve as a mirror reflecting back the imperfections that exist in our own way of seeing the world -- without brethren helping us to see the stale frailty of our ingrained biases? The capacity for genuine, lasting behavioral change for a person can only occur within a nurturing social environment. Devoid of a regularity of positive feedback from the environment (that is in excess to the negative), there can be no lasting change or growth of character, for it will sink and drown from exhaustion otherwise.

Our own beliefs can cut us off from being able to recognize the fundamental cracks in our accepted worldview. Beliefs are a self-fulfilling prophecy, for better or worse. Beliefs inform our intentions inform our actions. Beliefs create blind spots within the light of our own consciousness, like shadows cast in broad daylight. Our judgment is limited by our degree of mindful awareness, which is limited by the beliefs thus far attached to. It is only through personal abandonment of fixed attachments and static conceptions about the world, while abiding within a loving web of family and community, that we can restore an inner-equilibrium and equanimity of mind -- a state of consciousness that is the source of all inspiration, wisdom, hope, joy, and righteous agency in the world.

Inter-Dependence Day

What does “independence” mean in 2016 America?  What does it mean to sing, “for the land of the free, and the home of the brave,” from within a modern surveillance police-state and ‘teenage wasteland’?  Ever satisfied with half-measures and half-truths, gimmicks and hot air, we collectively handed over our futures to narcissists in every area of socioeconomic life and category of human endeavour.  Even in many academic circles, it has been long forgotten that it is a logical fallacy to weight the validity of information based on the credentials of its source.  Successive American generations sold their souls and their childrens’ futures for short-lived and hollow gains.  We abdicated our personal responsibility and freedom, for the illusion of greater security and convenience of “authorities” and “experts” controlling every aspect of our lives for us, including how to think.  But most of all, we have failed to raise our children with love, compassion, understanding, and encouragement, and through our own example to become strong-willed, free-thinking, responsible, self-sacrificing, and honorable people.  If you believe at all in the idea that, “it takes a whole village to raise a child,” then it’s not hard to comprehend why our “civilized” society has disintegrated from within.

Over the course of the 20th century especially (in correlation with the rise of consumerism, federalism, and corporatism), successive generations of parents have increasingly abandoned their children’s futures out of their own selfishness and willful ignorance.  (Note also: neglect works just as well as abuse.)  The evidence literally stares us in the face, in the form of all the countless eyes of children staring back at us — the tens of millions of children trapped in “adult” bodies — their minds never having been nurtured and guided into genuine pscyhological maturity.  Rather, in truth, all these young and middle-aged “adults” going about their American lives are deeply wounded, neglected, and abandoned adolescents who merely cover their frail psyches behind the masks they create for themselves and each other.  They are ultimately fear-rooted (-driven) personalities because their growth was stunted or blunted by the negligence and neglect of others.  Fear was the language in which they were raised, and rejection.  Their natural, innate innocence and loving natures were routinely ignored, or even attacked, by the many adults they looked up to.  What surprise can it honestly be for people to see that hostility, bigotry, and greed are an exponentiating result?

What the hell happened, you often ask yourself…  Deep down, you already know why: we are all deeply interconnected with one another but have been acting like we are not.  Look in the mirror, my fellow Americans — yes, all of us are to blame.  "You reap what you sow" is somehow an unclear concept to many people still, even as they stand in their very own pile of shit, day in and day out.  People have become increasingly lazy, distracted, arrogant, spoiled hypocrites.  People have increasingly turned a blind eye to problems festering in their own homes and communities.  People have become overwhelmingly disinclined to put in the degree of effort required to reap the rewards they rationalize themselves to be worthy of anyway.  People have allowed parasitic ideas and corrupt thinking patterns to take root in and unravel our families and communities from within, by virtue of the costly indulgences of apathy and arrogant presumption.  People have chosen to be lemmings, guided by the hands of egomaniacs.  People have shirked their moral duty to their communities, as citizens receiving communal benefits, by failing to think for themselves and stand up for what they know in their hearts to be right and noble.

People want greater democracy, but are satisfied with handing over the country to an aristocratic oligarchy of narcissists.  People want sanity restored, but are satisfied with being handed a binary choice of a criminal elitest and a fascist bigot to choose for the presidency.  People rail against how corrupt the system is, but are satisfied with staking their childrens’ futures on nothing but the delusional optimism that the system will somehow “right itself” without actual effort on their part.  The American Dream will never be more than a fantasy until we wake up from our drunken slumber to see reality as it truly is.  The first step to addressing a problem is to recognize the true, root nature of the problem.  Guess what, the real problem is how most people have been made to perceive the problem.

You have likely been misled into thinking the fundamental problem with this country has something to do with groups of “other” people or which political party is in power, when it is you who are responsible for creating the world you wish to inhabit.  Nothing will be fixed so long as the majority of people believe “someone else will fix it.”  See this attitude for what it is: cowardice.  Also, consider taking the log out of your own eye before helping another with the speck in theirs.  The moment we finally choose to take personal ownership for how we live our own lives and each treat one another, we will truly deserve to celebrate Independence Day.  We must be brave enough to be free.

The True Nature of Dark Energy (and Our Universe)

To understand what dark-energy is you must first visualize the inhabited universe we look "out" upon as literally being the "inner" content of a blackhole that exists within a (geometrically) extra-dimensional "multiverse" manifold. In other words, our "child" universe is a blackhole hyper-sphere ("time" being one of the spatial dimensions) "birthed" from the collapse of a high-density star-like object within an extra-dimensional "parent" universe.

A geometric asymptote known as an "event horizon" merely represents a lensed inversion of space-time, such that what is considered to an observer external to the black-hole to be an inward-outward spatial dimension measuring the black-hole's radii is perceived as a "time" dimension to an internal observer existing within the black-hole. The "Big Bang" is our blackhole universe's geometric singularity (when-where the hyper-star's core first started the formation of the blackhole), whereas the "Heat Death" or "Big Rip" at the end of "time" is the geometric asymptote we call the event horizon (merely approached from within).

Just as gravity is merely the curvature of space-time bending "inward," "dark energy" (anti-gravity) is space-time exhibiting an exponential exfolding (curving "outwardly"). Remove a couple spatial dimensions and imagine our universe as a funnel, with its "tip" the singularity and the "lip"/"rim" the event horizon. Now visualize numerous "world lines" (representing the space-time paths of objects) running from the tip ("Big Bang") to the exponentially widening rim (event-horizon), and, for simplicity, imagine the objects never accelerate relativistically but rather travel unaltered, "straight" paths. Those world-lines will exponentially curve away from each other geometrically as they approach the event horizon ("rim") asymptote.

Now imagine each of these world lines represents a galaxy and the progression of "time" is represented as moving spatially away from the "tip" / singularity / Big Bang of the funnel towards the "rim" / event horizon / Heat Death end. The infinite exponential stretching of space-time, as world-lines approach the event-horizon asymptote, is perceived (from the temporal perspective of the relative objects) as exponentially accelerating expansion, which ultimately takes an infinite amount of "time" to reach for an interior observer. This is exactly the same relativistic effect that is described alternatively as the quantum mechanical "smearing" of information across the event horizons of blackholes (see: holographic principle).

Now, try to extrapolate the funnel geometry to a circle, with tip as center-point and rim as circumference, while maintaining a sense of the stretching/smearing effect as a dilation of space-time.

A simplified, top-down view depiction of the topology of the interior of a blackhole (without angular momentum).
Here the "Big Bang" is at the center, and the "Heat-Death"/"Big Rip" is the "event horizon" circumference.

With this simplified visualization we can see what can be approximated mathematically as a Lie Group (if allowing an infinite radius in the model to account for the logarithmic warping effect of space-time curvature). Now, recall that all black-holes have some degree of geometric spin. Imagine what happens to matter-energy falling into the blackhole due to relativistic "frame-dragging"; it falls inward following an infinite, logarithmic spiral world-line (indeed our "golden spiral" geometry is a consequence of our blackhole universe's angular momentum). Now try to grasp this geometric topology with the removed spatial dimension added back in: you have a hyper-sphere with a toroidal-vortex geometry. This internal space-time curvature is roughly analogous to the patterns exhibited by the electromagnetic fields of the Earth and Sun, and the strong-weak nuclear fields of particles, but is effectively a gravitomagnetic "de Laval nozzle" due to the toroidal-vortex geometry inducing a "Venturi effect." This geometric energy dynamo is responsible for generating the bipolar "relativistic jets" spewing from some blackholes in our universe which physicists still haven't formally understood the mechanism behind.

Regardless, "dark energy" is not an energy at all, but our perception of the exponentially increasing global curvature of space-time as we approach the geometric asymptote that is the event horizon. Try to recognize that our perception of time is merely a perceptual manifestation of consciousness (which is the interference pattern generated by the Fourier Synthesis (quantum entanglement) of de Broglie matter-waveforms, with an effect analogous to "scanning" along these world-lines), and that world-lines are "attracted" to each other by "gravity" over "time" only in the sense that space-time is expanding/stretching less rapidly at shorter distances than at larger distances (a global form of the "Casimir effect").

Destiny 'Trip' (Remastered)

Destiny 'Trip' is a musical metaphor for the human lifespan, with every stage of development represented, from birth to death. It is the first track off of Wise 'Trip' EP, produced by WiseFromWithin/dJ_5entIn3L.

Wise 'Trip' EP is a "concept album," falling under the sub-genres of ambient, ambient industrial, and "space music," that provides the listener with a variety of unique mental impressions united by a thread of universal metaphysical concepts concerning life and reality. 'Trip' has a double-meaning: trip, as in a journey; and trip, as in a "head-trip".

On the Future of Democracy

I discuss, on a systems-thinking level, how the basic structure of our current discussions are the root of the problem, and suggest a more holistic, bottom-up approach that is ideal for a genuine, technology-based democracy.

Time, Consciousness, Enlightenment, & Ego

Namaskar Brethren…

My inner Stillness / Source of Being has been especially resonant in my temporal consciousness today.

I’m becoming much better at remaining in the state of “No-Mind” / mere-“Being.” This inner Source of Being/Awareness is timeless, self-restrained, infinite equilibrium.

“Time” only manifests for each Individuated Consciousness. Each experiences a different “refresh/sample-rate/frames-per-second” and the ‘dimension’ of time is a unified, bi-directional/bi-poled spectrum (past to future, future to past are both equal in the reality of how change projects “through time”). Spatial and temporal “movement” or change cancels Itself out at the infinite scale of All Existence leaving perfect, self-restrained equilibrium of all impulses.

It is humorous, in a compassionate way, that many think (as I once did) that a state of Total Enlightenment is something you “achieve” once and that’s it. Rather you must strive to retain it for longer and longer periods until you finally abide within it; kind of like how a ball must bounce to a stand still (each impact on the ground being moments of enlightenment coming more frequently and lasting longer).

After a person’s first experience of enlightenment, their ego reestablishes almost immediately, which then applies the fading enlightened perspective to their personhood and human world. This is appropriate; you are meant to utilize this received wisdom, but not attach yourself to how the wisdom manifested in that particular place in your personal time-space. It is people’s egos attaching to their perception of wisdom; which restores to prominence, and puffs up, the ego, thinking it should take credit for the perceived achievement of enlightened wisdom.

Most self-ascribed “enlightened” people are really more deeply and sophisticatedly veiled and entrenched self-deceived egos. Again, it is appropriate for you to use the wisdom that is revealed by your “contact”/reUnion with Universal Consciousness to take harmonious moral action in the world. But our choices and behaviors are most just and harmonious with the “Universe” (our True Nature of Universal Being) when the driver/impulse behind our actions flow directly from Universal Consciousness that is found at the core Source of Awareness (“Life-Force”) found within ourselves.

A Paradox: Struggling Against Our Own Humanity

//Remembering What is Worth Remembering//

None of us can get through life without making serious mistakes.  Most of the time we do our best to do what we think is right in an imperfect world, using the scattered pieces of information available to us, trying our hardest to make choices we think will lead to a better future--a future that is always totally unknown and unpredictable.  On top of this less than ideal environment for even knowing and understanding what the right decisions to make are, our countless imperfections, our engrained impulses, our baser instincts, our unintentional short-sightedness, and the constant struggle we have within ourselves, often lead us astray.  Inherently, "to error is human," and, in fact, all life in existence struggles to the make the best of things in a chaotic world and necessarily makes mistakes along the way.  What is more important than the mistakes themselves is that all that can be learned from them, is, and that newfound knowledge is proactively applied to do better in the future.

Nevertheless, we cannot ignore, nor excuse the impact of, those mistakes we make that are excruciatingly painful to others and ourselves, made in our darkest hours, when it seemed there was no light to guide us as our own light had faded in the darkness of the pain and the fear.  Though, were we, and those we've loved but deeply hurt, not victims of our own blind humanity in the times we were truly lost?  Must we judge the character and value of a person's entire life based solely on their worst errors?

Can we accept that we all share, among a great many other things, the common experience of inducing pain and sorrow we never wanted for ourselves or our loved ones?  Can we all agree 'we are not magnificent'--that with all our natural flaws, whether they include in any particular person a mental disorder, disability, or malady, or none at all, we do our best to find a sense of happiness and safety, even if we are looking in all the wrong places?  Is it not true that we all abhor living in fear, being controlled by sadness, bitterness, and regret, and that we quite often do things that seem to make us feel better in the moment but leave us just as empty as before?  Is it not clear the 'human condition' is an inherent paradox, and to be human is to be a walking, talking paradox of mixed emotions and mental conflict, having only a dim perception of the real world whilst possessing dangerously limitless but immature imagination?

We all want to be loved and remembered fondly, despite the very serious, yet very human blunders we've made.  I, for one, believe our best qualities and greatest achievements are the only things of value worth remembering once we are dead and gone...

//"
We're Living at the Mercy of the Pain and the Fear Until We Dead It, Forget It, Let It All Disappear"//

"Yeah, yo
This is not the end, this is not the beginning
Just a voice like a riot rocking every revision
But you listen to the tone and the violent rhythm
And though the words sound steady, something empty's within 'em
We say 'Yeah', with fists flying up in the air
Like we're holding onto something that's invisible there
'Cause we're living at the mercy of the pain and the fear
Until we dead it, forget it, let it all disappear (yeah)

Waiting for the end to come, wishing I had strength to stand
This is not what I had planned, it's out of my control
Flying at the speed of light, thoughts were spinning in my head
So many things were left unsaid, it's hard to let you go

I know what it takes to move on, I know how it feels to lie
All I wanna do is trade this life for something new
Holding on to what I haven't got

Sitting in an empty room, trying to forget the past
This was never meant to last, I wish it wasn't so

I know what it takes to move on, I know how it feels to lie
All I wanna do is trade this life for something new
Holding on to what I haven't got

Yo, yeah
What was left when that fire was gone?
I thought it felt right but that right was wrong
All caught up in the eye of the storm
I'm trying to figure out what it's like moving on
And I don't even know what kind of things I said
My mouth kept moving and my mind went dead
So, picking up the pieces now, where to begin?
The hardest part of ending is starting again!

All I wanna do is trade this life for something new
Holding on to what I haven't got

This is not the end, this is not the beginning
Just a voice like a riot rocking every revision
(I'm holding on to what I haven't got)
But you listen to the tone and the violet rhythm
Though the words sound steady, something empty's within 'em

We say 'Yeah', with fists flying up in the air
Like we're holding onto something that's invisible there
(Holding on to what I haven't got)
'Cause we're living at the mercy of the pain and the fear
Until we dead it, forget it, let it all disappear"

Dedicated Demo 1999

I have a dream of a scene between the green hills
Clouds pull away and the sunlight's revealed
People don't talk about keeping it real
It's understood that they actually will
And intoxicated and stimulated emcees
Staring in the trees, paranoid, are gone in the breeze
Watch them flee, hip-hop hits
Take a walk with me and what you'll see
Is a land where the sand is made up of crushed up wax
And the sky beyond you is krylon glue
And everybody speaks in a dialect of rhyme
And emcees have left materialism behind them
Meanwhile I just grip my mic
And hope me and my team make it through alright
Because say what you will, and say what you might
But don't ignore who it's for at the end of the night

[CHORUS]
Because this is dedicated to the kids
Dedicated to wherever music lives
Dedicated to those tired of the same ol' same
And dedicated to the people advancin' the game
What's real is the kids who know that something's wrong
What's real is the kids who think they don't belong
What's real is the kids who have nowhere to run
Who are hiding in the shadows waiting for the sun

I've seen a lot of shit, I've talked to a bum
Out on sunset strip, he asked me "How would you feel
If everybody acted like you didn't exist
You'd lose your grip, probably eventually flip."
So let it be known, the only reason that we do this
Is so you can pick it up and just bang your head to it
While emcees fight to see who can be the commonest
Be floatin overhead like a space odyssey monolith
Over seeing the game, over being part of the same ol' thing
It's all gonna change in a hurricane of darkness and pain
And acidic rain and promises that you won't do it again
Meanwhile I just grip my mic
And hope me and my team make it through alright
Because say what you will, and say what you might
But don't ignore who it's for at the end of the night

[Repeat Chorus]

Pulling me close, the shadow is warm inside
This is where I feel at home, this is my place to hide
Pulling me close, the shadow is warm inside
This is where I feel at home, this is my place to hide

[Repeat Chorus]

This is dedicated to the kids
Dedicated to wherever music lives
Dedicated to those tired of the same ol' same
And dedicated to the people advancin' the game
What's real, everybody who doesn't feel safe
What's real, everybody who knows they're out of place
What's real, anybody with nowhere to run
Who hides in the shadows waiting for the sun

Unification of Physics through Spirituality

[If you are sufficiently open-minded and open-hearted, this article will help you "see" exactly how to unite modern science, logic/philosophy, and a universal spiritual understanding. I do not envy the attention I may receive: I am a peaceful, quiet soul, but I will answer questions. Please pass along to every physics, philosophy, and spiritual guru you know.]

"Deflagrate muri tempi et intervallia."

The solution to resolving General Relativity with Quantum Mechanics requires completely doing away with the world's currently minuscule and arrogant perspective on the nature of reality. It requires completely clearing away our currently rigid systems of self-clouded perspective. Systematic ("masculine") observation and analysis must be Unified with intuitive ("feminine") knowing-Union with the Universal Spirit-Consciousness who Creates through Us, and is already dwelling in, through, and all around me (as pure vibrational energy on frequency levels humans cannot yet fully detect and decode with their technologies).

The scientific method cannot bridge that last gap to inner-enlightenment; intuitive, inner-light awareness of Truth from within yourself, that is required. "WiseFromWithin".

"He who knows others is wise; He who knows himself is enlightened." —  Lao-Tzu

Our Universe is the child of a parent Universe's collapsed energy-focus ("embryo"/"star" turned "baby"/"black-hole"). The loving matter-wave Union of the ignited star ("fertilized embryo") serves as the first phase of Life in the womb, so-to-speak, but only some are sustained by enough Love/gravity to cause exit from "the womb" of our universe which gave birth to it (a new geometric "Child" universe). Each one has a unique fundamental frequency from which all overtones series manifest from. The Big Bang is literally like striking a gong in terms of energy flow. Each fundamental frequency manifests its particular internal dimensional geometries ("golden spiral/ratios", sequence of Prime Numbers, waveform "acoustics", etc.)

The moment a blackhole's event horizon "emerges" out of the center of the collapsing star, that which is passing across the event horizon threshold becomes the "light"/energy/consciousness projecting through the holographic "plate" (the event horizon itself).
"Matter acts, but there are no actors behind the actions; the verbs are verbing all by themselves without a need to introduce nouns. Actions act upon other actions. Properties are all there is. Indeed: there are no things." — David Mermin

All matter-energy consumed over the black-hole's life serves as the creative-consciousness impulse that is "the Breath of Life" within that perceived universe, driving all growth and causality. In other words, our consciousness literally is the shimmering of matter-energy projecting through the holographic plane (event horizon). You could think of our Individualized Consciousnesses in the general form of "de Broglie" waves, that inherently perceive particles where the centers of standing-waves are. That's why particles only exist to the extent local consciousness perceives/creates. Time only appears to seem to move forward as the de Broglie/Consciousness scans along the holographic "film reel."

Stars are literally embryos that either fail or succeed at being the creative impulse for the birth of a new universe. Gravity is to Magnetism is to the Strong Nuclear Force is to "Feminine" manifestation/impulse in the physical plane of awareness, as "Light" is to Electricity is to the Weak Nuclear Force is to "Masculine" manifestation. At "event horizons" the space-time yin-yang polarity of forces are rotated within the higher-dimensional energy-geometry planes that exist fractalinearly without bound on inward and outward geometric scaling.

There are of course higher binding energies and operating frequencies than these force-particle pairs that humans cannot yet detect with technology. They are each yin-yang pairs that are a part of a unified consciousness-energy spectrum ("Tao"/"God, the Source"). There are infinite levels of manifestation.

"Things derive their being and nature by mutual dependence and are nothing in themselves."
— Nagarjuna

"Nothing ever exists entirely alone; everything is in relation to everything else." — Buddha

Gravity is literally "Love" manifest on much lower wavelengths than humans can properly perceive usually, but do on "emotional wavelengths" of Consciousness, only insofar as your worldview is unrestricted by religious and scientific dogma. We must complete the Unification of Spiritualism with Logic-Knowledge to achieve the birth of the next stage in human evolution. Humanity need not be desperate for division and segregation, for this is the fundamental illusion of our times.

Key point: Electricity/Weak-Nuclear/Yin/etc. (musculine outward focus {adventure-seeking)} is the opposite force-manifestation of Magnetism/Strong-Nuclear/Yang/etc. (feminine inward focus {nesting-instinct}). Combining them is the very act of Creation. We all do this, most currently still are without realizing it.

My Debut Album: Wise 'Trip' EP

You can listen to the finalized version of my entire album on SoundCloud.
It is also available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon MP3, Deezer, and Rdio!

My goal has been to create a truly fresh, unique, and rich listening experience, with each song being structured and composed to serve as a musical metaphor for the concepts and feelings I wanted to share.  I did not wish to be bound by common song structures in doing so--the structures are defined instead by the concepts themselves.

I have thrown in a mellow, alternative genre "bonus track" I recorded and produced in a little over an hour using a full-featured recording studio.  It was intentionally produced to give it an impromptu, "off-the-cuff" performance feel, with every instrumental and vocal track performed by Drake Holliday.  He has my thanks for letting me work with him on it, and for letting me share this song.

The lyrics for "Ascendency" were written by Taylor Podkranic.  I'm grateful to him for writing them specifically for me, and for how personally meaningful they are to me.  I'm further grateful for him transferring copyright ownership of the lyrics over to my record label.  All together, a great example of thoughtful altruism.

"Ascendancy" was a song born from a deeply personal struggle I had for many years. The primary concept conveyed musically is of moving from "darkness to light". The lyrics, which have strong ties to the mythology of the Phoenix (and were written for me by my friend Taylor Podkranic), are perfectly complimentary to the musical development of the song. The purpose of the song, as a whole, is to remind and inspire people, who may be in, or at least remember, that in their darkest hour, they can transcend their limits and struggles to be reborn into whoever they wish to be...

[Verse 1]
Broken and beaten,
to the depths of my soul
Sundered and shaken,
will I ever be whole?
(Repeat Verse)

[Chorus 1]
Climbing higher and higher,
fists to the sky
Through the smoke and the fire,
screaming why... why!
Why did I fracture?
Why did I break?
Can I come back together?
What will it take?
No longer that boy
Reborn as a man
Embers burn in my eyes,
and now here I stand
...now here I stand

[Verse 2]
Self-loathing a cancer,
dragging me down
Choking on silence,
what then is the sound?
Of a soul as it's breaking,
as all lies are lost
As new eyes come open,
I know the cost

[Chorus 2]
Climbing higher and higher,
fists to the sky
Through smoke and the fire,
screaming why... why!
Why did I stumble?
Why did I fall?
Am I worth saving?
Am I worth it at all?
The answer is yes!
We deserve one more chance
A shot at redemption
I'm worth more than a glance
...more than a glance

[Bridge]
Because if you watch,
I'll burst into flames,
soar out of my ashes
Remember my name
Suffering can cleanse you,
each trial a gift
Harder, Faster, Stronger,
even mountains may shift
You have the power
Exert your will
Learn from this lesson,
as I am still...

[Final Chorus]
Climbing higher and higher,
fists to the sky
Through the smoke and the fire,
screaming I will not die
Now I can fly,
fists to the sky
I will not die
Now I can... fly...

[Outro]
What is broken,
may be mended... (x7)

An Inquiry into the Fundamental Nature of Existence (Reality)

[Although all of the concepts and unifying "Theory of Everything" framework for them have been fully formed, getting it on paper is an ongoing work in progress.  I will be regularly updating this post as the book continues to come together.  Enjoy, and please comment!]

Systemic Vulnerabilities in the Global Economy

Hello All,

It would seem, 14 years later, that I was correct in the grander thesis I strongly eluded to throughout my H.S. Senior Paper (available at http://j.mp/SeniorPaper).  In the global economy there has been an ever-growing trend of:
Increasing over-interdependence of large-scale economic providers, within increasingly-globalized supply chain-webs (most courtesy of “J.I.T.” supply systems, globalized ‘vertical specialization,’ and as I now recognize, the overly interdependent Banking & Lending {financing} web), have made what once was a relatively resilient economic system, capable of dampening out local disruptions, turn into one of a remarkably systemically fragile nature — inherently of the nature to propagate and “snow-ball” microeconomic disruptions into massive socioeconomic disruptions (recent e.g., the 2008 “Sub-Prime Mortgage Bubble” collapse, inducing the “Great Recession”).

I would appreciate your feedback.  This economic trend is going to inevitably be disastrous if we do not alleviate the fundamental systemic vulnerabilities elluded to in my research paper.  Thank you.
